I have several different irises in my front yard, and I try to paint some each spring.
I have a row of these violet blue ones that I brought back from my son's Pittsburgh garden. Irises only last a few days, and this was their week. I managed to capture them before they and the surrounding peonies were drenched by three days of rain.

Wind in the Willows Inspired Art Cards
I lived for several years very near the village on the Thames in Berkshire, UK, which inspired Grahame's classic book which we read to our three children. We went searching for the nearby places near Cookham like the wild wood and the river bank. Now I live in the Northern Virginia woods near a different major river, reminding me of those early years. These are some of my favorite quotes combined with some well loved landscapes.
