I lived for several years very near the village on the Thames in Berkshire, UK, which inspired Grahame's classic book which we read to our three children. We went searching for the nearby places near Cookham like the wild wood and the river bank. Now I live in the Northern Virginia woods near a different major river, reminding me of those early years.
